现在分词（doing）和过去分词（done）都有副词性质，可以在句中充当状语，表示时间、条件、原因、让步、结果、方式或伴随状况等。

1.分词充当时间状语

Running on the playground, he saw a bird.

(When he is省略) running on the playground, he saw a bird.

在操场上跑步时，他看到了一只鸟。

2.分词充当原因状语

Saddened by this film, she decided to listen to a soft piece of music.

(Because she was省略) saddened by this film, she decided to listen to a soft piece of music.

看完这部电影很难受，因此她决定听一段柔和的音乐。

3.分词作伴随状语

Cooking for her children, she listening to music.

(As she is省略) cooking for her children, she listens to music.

他一边做饭，一边听音乐。

3.分词作条件状语

Found, he would not be not alive now.

(If he is found省略), he will not be alive now.

如果他被发现，现在就不会活着了。

4.现在分词作让步状语

(Studying）hard, he always fail to get a high sore.

（He省略）studies hard, he always fail to get a high sore.

尽管他学习努力，但是考试分数却不高。
