有条蛇常被人们所践踏，便跑去向宙斯告状。宙斯对他说：“你若咬了第一个践踏你的人，就不会再有第二个敢这样做的人了。”

寓意：抵抗住第一个侵略者，其他的侵略者就会望而生畏，不敢来犯。
